TEASER ERA Sehun was the fifth member to be revealed through a teaser video, Run and Gun in which he featured with his ‘94 line friend and member, Kai. Some teaser images then got released on January 9th, 2012. Sehun also featured in four more teasers (all involving his dancing but then he didn’t do much more than that during the whole mama promotion period). He debuted with EXO on March 31, 2013 while having just started his last year of high school MAMA ERA Besides being the maknae, Sehun was appointed as the lead rapper and lead dancer. We feel that the former is half true, considering the few lines he has in the mini-album (a whopping 30 seconds!). Indeed, there is not much to judge about his rapping abilities (don’t let us start about singing? What is this? Do you eat it?（⌒▽⌒ゞ ) Dancing on the other hand, is something Sehun is very good at and despite always being at the shadow of EXO-K’s main dancer dancing machine Kai, he still manages to dazzle everyone with his moves. Shim Jae Won, one of EXO’s choreographer, praised Sehun as a good dancer (can we interest you in the History dance practise video? Pay careful attention at his very precise execution of the choreo) with a good flexibility but noted he was the member who made the most mistakes as blocking other fellow members or forgetting his steps (Sehun pls ╮(╯▽╰)╭). Unlike Kai, Sehun does not seem to have any formal training in dancing before getting into SM Entertainment, which makes his impromptu performances very exciting as we are able to see the type of dancer Sehun truly is. Capable of sharp movements and powerful choregraphies, seems the maknae has a thing for breakdancing! Now hopefully, XOXO era will bring us more of dancer Sehun as it’s clear he has a lot to offer. Sehun is a team player in SM entertainment, supporting acts like SHINee and collaborating with TTS during SM Town. With SHINee we got to see how Sehun swayed his hips to the beat of Love like Oxygen when he took Minho’s place due to his busy schedule. With TTS on the other hand, Sehun, along with Luhan, Chanyeol & D.O, was allowed to finally perform as the main dancer on a lovely rendition of Usher's DJ Got Us Falling in Love. Oh, but what would it be of the maknae if he wasn’t in charge of the aegyo. With every maknae in a kpop group comes an important responsibility, that has been entrusted to Sehun: makefans squeal at his cute antics. He is aware of his duty alright. Sehun has been torturing us with his really shy aegyo from day 1. At the showcase, he was asked to do some aegyo for the noonas but he was too nervous which resulted in a sort of frustrated bbuing bbuing. Don’t worry though, Sehun picked up really fast on how to do a successful aegyo during the following interviews. Though yeah, he still blushes when being asked to do this but it’s been revealed (as in hyungs threw maknae under the bus) by the other members that Sehun does aegyo to get his way with the hyungs on a daily basis （人´∀`*）. Finally, on this matter, catching on all the trends of being cute, Sehun did the infamous Gwiyomi. SIGHHHH XOXO ERA This May 16th, SM surprised us all with the announcement of a comeback for EXO. This meant new possibilities for Sehun to shine considering his participation in MAMA was reserved to dancing and being in charge of theTURNBACK. But all in all, the worrying part lied on what colour Sehun’s hair would be this time, ever since during the first days of March a lot of fantaken photos started flooding the internet and pictured his hair looking very multi-colored. Little did we know that Sehun was about to join the trend of SM Entertainment idols, consisting of Sulli, Hyoyeon and Key who are able to sport (AND ROCK) rainbow hair (lol this is huge, sorry. LOL NOT REALLY (✿◠‿◠) ). While Sehun doesn’t get much solo time on this album (unfortunately still less than a minute (Ｔ▽Ｔ)), what we are able to hear sounds really good. Sure, he’s no Baekhyun, Kyungsoo or Chen but his voice has a distinct and particular tone and leaves room for improvement! Plus, he was given both rapping and singing lines which points towards the right direction! As we type this, little is known of what else is going to be of Sehun, as in terms of performances and promotions but we hope he shines even brighter~ ♡ Oh yeah, he is still doing aegyo and it’s better than ever (go to min 26).
